Mohammad Sadegh Maghareh
I am an AI researcher focusing on computer vision, multimodal intelligence, and medical image understanding. I work as a research associate in the Neuroengineering Lab at Shahid Beheshti University (SBU) under the supervision of Dr. Reza Lashgari . My research includes developing multimodal VQA systems for gastrointestinal endoscopy, training and evaluating large vision–language models, biomedical vision, and deep learning for clinical decision support.
I also work on representation learning, efficient model adaptation (LoRA, multimodal tuning), and AI systems that integrate vision, language, and clinical knowledge. My broader interests lie in building next-generation multimodal human-centered AI systems.
Previously, I completed my M.Sc. in Computer Science at Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT), where I worked on smart contract gas optimization and program analysis. I received my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Shiraz University , specializing in artificial intelligence and software engineering.
I have collaborated with international research teams, including the University of Utah project on brain-wide inhibitory neuron mapping in the visual cortex.
